On peak days, visitors have reported well over 100 manatees visible from the observation decks — among Florida's largest gatherings of the animals during the winter season. The lagoon's elevated deck provides clear sightlines into the water, and the manatees are close enough that their size (adults reach 10 feet and 1,000+ pounds) is genuinely impressive in a way that aquarium viewing never quite captures.
