Olara Passes the Halfway Mark: What the 15th Floor Means If You're Watching This Building

Olara's structure has reached the 15th of 26 floors, climbing roughly one floor every two weeks — and the interior materials are already in production. Here's what the pace of construction actually tells you about the 2028 delivery, and why the window on this building looks different from the ground than it does from a sales brochure.

Drive North Flagler right now and you can't miss it: the cranes at 1919 North Flagler Drive have pushed Olara's structure to the 15th floor — past the halfway point of the 26-story tower. According to the development team's late-July construction update, the structure is climbing at roughly one floor every two weeks, with the site running structure crews and interior trades simultaneously.

That's a routine-sounding sentence from a developer email. But if you're one of the buyers seriously circling this building — and we're talking with several — the details underneath it are worth unpacking.

Why the Pace Matters More Than the Floor Count

A tower reaching its 15th floor is a photo opportunity. A tower reaching its 15th floor on a two-week-per-floor rhythm is a schedule you can do math on. Eleven floors remain; at the current pace, the structure tops out comfortably within the timeline that supports the promised 2028 delivery.

In new construction, delivery credibility is the whole game. Every buyer weighing a pre-completion contract is really weighing one question: do I believe the date? Vertical pace is the most honest answer available — concrete doesn't do marketing. Savanna's structure crews are pouring on rhythm, and that is the single strongest signal this project has produced since groundbreaking.

The second signal is quieter but just as telling: the interiors are already in motion. The update confirms materials in production across four countries — glass from Colombia, stone from Turkey and Italy, countertops from Brazil, and Italian cabinetry. Developers don't commit globally sourced material orders on that scale for a project with schedule doubt. Those purchase orders are conviction, written in stone. Literally.

What's Actually Rising on That Site

If you're new to the building, a quick refresher on what those 26 floors will hold — because Olara's premise is genuinely different from the rest of the WPB pipeline:

The first José Andrés restaurant in the Palm Beaches. The Michelin-starred chef's group chose Olara's waterfront for its Palm Beaches debut — a full culinary destination at the building's address, not a lobby café.

80,000 square feet of wellness and leisure, managed by Arch Amenities. The fitness center is designed by The Wright Fit — the firm behind the facilities at Manhattan's most demanding residential towers — with an open-air yoga deck, cold plunge, and a Japanese onsen.

An arrival sequence built like a hotel's — valet, 24-hour doorman, double-height lobby — minutes from both downtown and Palm Beach Island.

All of it serving just 275 residences, priced from $1.7 million to $7.5 million at the penthouse level. The full amenity breakdown is on our Olara page — it runs longer than most buildings' entire brochures.

The Showroom Is Where It Gets Real

We've spent time in Olara's sales gallery, and it's worth saying plainly: the model residence is one of the more convincing showroom builds in this market. The kitchen and great room are mocked up at full scale with the actual specified finishes — the cabinetry, the stone, the fixture packages — not lookalikes. When the update says Italian cabinetry and Brazilian stone are in production, we've stood next to exactly what's being produced. That's the difference between evaluating a rendering and evaluating a building.

What This Means If You're Deciding

Here's the pattern we've watched play out across every serious WPB tower of the last cycle: pricing and selection are never better than they are while the building is still concrete and cranes. As structures top out and model units give way to finished floors, the remaining inventory narrows and the developer's pricing posture hardens. The Bristol taught this market that lesson in 2019, and South Flagler House is teaching it again right now.

Olara at floor 15 is in the middle of that arc. There is still meaningful selection across the two-to-four-bedroom lines, and 2028 is close enough to plan around but far enough out that the building is still selling on futures. That combination doesn't hold indefinitely — the cranes see to that, one floor every two weeks.

If you want to see it for yourself, we'll set up a private presentation at the Olara sales gallery — John or Christine will walk you through the model residence, current availability, and where pricing stands today. Reach out and we'll arrange it. And if you're still in research mode, our full Olara building profile covers the residences, amenities, and the North Flagler corridor in depth.
