Selling your WPB condo?
Free Market Valuation →Worth Avenue: One of America's Great Luxury Shopping Streets
Worth Avenue is ten minutes from most WPB condo addresses. Here's what the full experience looks like — the brands, the hidden vias, when to go, and how to do it like a local rather than a tourist.

Worth Avenue doesn't need much introduction. The four-block stretch from South Ocean Boulevard west to Cocoanut Row has anchored Palm Beach Island's luxury retail identity for over a century — and it remains one of the genuinely great shopping streets in the United States. Not great by Florida standards. Great by any standard.
From most WPB condo addresses on or near Flagler Drive, it's a 10-minute drive across the Royal Park Bridge. If the weather cooperates, you can bike it — the bridge crossing is easy and the ride from downtown WPB takes about 20 minutes. That proximity is one of the lifestyle advantages of the WPB address that doesn't show up in a floor plan.

The Street
The main stretch of Worth Avenue is what most people picture: Mediterranean architecture, bougainvillea on every surface, the clock tower at the ocean end, global luxury brands lining both sides. Hermès, Chanel, Cartier, Gucci, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Valentino — the full roster of global luxury retail is here, alongside the independent jewelers and Palm Beach-specific boutiques that have served the Island's permanent community for generations.
The street is pedestrian-friendly, shaded, and genuinely pleasant to walk even in season. The pace is different from Worth Avenue's counterparts in other cities — slower, more deliberate, and more likely to result in a conversation with a shopkeeper than a transaction with a register.
The Vias — What Most People Miss
Here's what separates locals from tourists on Worth Avenue: the vias.
Via Mizner and Via Parigi are interconnected interior courtyard passages that run perpendicular off the main street. They were designed by Addison Mizner — the architect who defined Palm Beach's Mediterranean Revival character in the 1920s — and they contain some of Worth Avenue's most interesting independent shops, galleries, and the best casual dining on the street.
Pizza Al Fresco in Via Mizner is the move for lunch — an open-air courtyard setting with fountain and bougainvillea overhead, serving straightforward Italian in one of the most pleasant outdoor dining rooms in Palm Beach County. Residents know it. Most first-time visitors walk right past the entrance.
If you stay on the main street, you'll miss half of what Worth Avenue actually is. Walk the vias.
When to Go
Worth Avenue during season — November through April — is Worth Avenue at full expression. The social community of one of America's wealthiest zip codes is in residence, the boutiques are fully staffed, the restaurants are booked, and the street has an energy that's genuinely unlike any other shopping experience in South Florida.
In summer, the street quiets considerably. Some boutiques reduce hours or close for portions of July and August. The experience is still Worth Avenue — the architecture doesn't go anywhere — but the energy is different.
For WPB residents who are here year-round, the off-season Worth Avenue has its own appeal: easier parking, less crowded vias, and the ability to take your time in boutiques without navigating around tour groups.
Dining on the Avenue
Meat Market, just steps off Worth Avenue on Bradley Place, is the current go-to for a proper occasion dinner near the Avenue — a modern steakhouse with the polish and see-and-be-seen energy that Palm Beach expects.
Café Boulud Palm Beach at the Brazilian Court hotel (just off Worth Avenue on Australian Avenue) is where you go when the food matters as much as the experience. Daniel Boulud's Palm Beach outpost runs at the same standard as his New York restaurants, with a wine program and service to match.
Pizza Al Fresco in Via Mizner is the casual counterpoint — courtyard seating, reliable Italian, and the best setting-to-price ratio on the street.
Worth Avenue is ten minutes from your front door when you own in downtown WPB. Most of the people who visit it are making a day trip. You're not. That difference in how you experience the street — as a regular rather than a visitor — is part of what owning near the bridge actually means.
Browse the waterfront and downtown buildings to see what puts Worth Avenue in your weekly rotation. Or reach out — it's a short conversation that usually starts with the bridge.
