Beaches Near West Palm Beach Condos

One of the most frequent questions from condo buyers new to the area: "How far am I from the beach?" The answer depends on where you're starting from — but for most WPB condo addresses, the Atlantic Ocean is 10 to 20 minutes away, with multiple distinct beach options offering very different experiences.

Palm Beach Island's public beaches are the most proximate for Flagler Drive and downtown residents. The Town of Palm Beach maintains several public beach access points along Ocean Boulevard — the most convenient being at the Midtown Beach near the Four Seasons. The sand is wide, the water is clear, and the setting (Atlantic on one side, Palm Beach estates on the other) is genuinely beautiful. Parking is limited and metered, which keeps the crowds manageable compared to the county's larger public beach facilities.

Lantana Beach (7 miles south) and Lake Worth Beach (5 miles south) offer more relaxed, local-community-oriented beach experiences with actual parking infrastructure and the casual food and drink options that Palm Beach's more formal beach access points lack. Lake Worth Beach has undergone significant improvement in recent years and is genuinely one of the most pleasant public beaches in Palm Beach County.

Singer Island, accessed via Blue Heron Boulevard north of WPB, offers a different character entirely: a residential barrier island with less commercial development than the areas to the south, excellent snorkeling at the Blue Heron Bridge, and wide, relatively uncrowded beaches that draw a knowledgeable local crowd. The Riviera Beach Municipal Beach and Phil Foster Park provide parking and access. For residents of North Flagler Drive buildings, Singer Island is the closest Atlantic beach option.
